We finally have a hive that made it through the winter. My wife took this amazing photo (she is becoming quite the photog) a few Saturday's ago showing the bees bringing in Maple tree pollen. This means the Queen is alive and well. They would not bring in pollen if there was no brood to feed. A great sign that Spring is just around the corner, and the honey flow too

There is a thorn in my heart
There is a thorn in my heart
And it will not depart
No matter how hard I've tried
To dislodge it
And though I wish it were gone
And yet it somehow belongs
I still wonder at how I've
survived it?
I then surrender inside
when I finally realize
Just how deeply deceived I have been.
For so many years and through so many tears. I cry out...
'When will it end, Lord? Oh when?'
It is at that moment when He then reaches down
And pulls me up off of the ground
And whispers "Not yet, my dear son. No... not yet.
Your journey is not yet done;
So you must carry on
Until the very, very, very
...last sunset"
So It's been Him all this while
Every breeze; every smile
He is hidden in all seen and unseen
Yet most people ignore Him
Or downright deplore Him
But those who love Him
Will know what I mean :)
When this journey is done
And the victory won
I will at last, and yet only in hope
Go to that place that exists
outside of time and of space
I will go to my eternal Reward
Nought for anything I've done
For it is He and He alone
who has walked down
our very same paths.
And in return for this gift
There is yet but one wish
"Follow Me" is all that He asks
There is a thorn in my heart
And it will not depart
No matter how hard I try
To dislodge it
Yet there it remains
Amid sorrow...joy! ...pain
Until He comes again soon
To reclaim it

The side coop with Wheat in front, Morning Glories on the side and Blue Hydrangea in the back
The grapes are coming in nicely! We might have to make some wine this year
Ruth in front of the grape vine. It's growing along the roof line!

Newly sprouted corn on the bottom right

Here we have Pumpkin, Corn, Cucumbers and Cantelope
Cucumbers are flowering in back and will climb up the fence

This week around the Garden
Red raspberries and Tiger Lillies in bloom now
The honey bees are active and making lots of babies (and eventually excess honey!)
These green berries are destined to become blackberry's soon
The side coop with Morning Glories growing up it to provide shade in the summer heat. They keep pecking at whatever comes through the double netting but I think the MG's will win the battle in the long run. I'll post another pic when it is completely covered and in bloom.
